WE WANT SPRING!!!

Yes, the background is wishful thinking... "Come to us, Spring, come!"

So, my Dad came down to visit us this weekend, and we had a blast!  He ate lunch with the kids at school, had a sleepover at the hotel with them on Friday night, brought a dragon cake and "Pete's Dragon" to watch, and showed us all his mad Twister skills!  He also gave the kiddos a really awesome butterfly kite!
So, we took the kite out Tuesday evening (after Grandpa left, because it had been too windy).

After we were done flying, we decided to hit the swings.
Janey was a bit nervous at first, since she's never wanted much to do with them before...
(look real close at her face)

but, as you can see, she was soon loving it!  Thanks Daddy!

Since the focus on my camera is difficult to manage now, some of the shots are a little blurry.

WATCH OUT!

Don't mind the blur... look at that awesome hair!

By the time we were done, we had a family of popsicles.  Yes, the day looks nice and springy, but the wind sure made it cold!  Here is Janey saying "Hold me PLEASE!"
So, we went home for some hot chocolate and snuggling in blankets together on the couch!!

Thanks so much Grandpa for all the fun!!  We love you and miss you already!
p.s.  I tried to upload a pic of you "twisting," but it wouldn't rotate it right!
Another time...

Sometimes my children drive me crazy! This morning I got nothing but arguments. So, I gave up and made them get ready for school on their own. Yes... I was sulking a bit. I just get tired of being so dreadfully underappreciated!!! No, but really, I just want them to listen and obey! Without having to spell things out for them every single time!
Ok, ok... I sound like every other parent in the world. This makes me think, tho! What is my Heavenly Father thinking every time that I'm stubborn and rebellious? "Why won't she just listen and obey? Things would be so much easier in the long run!"
Yes, I've learned from my children...yet again...how to be a better child! Why do I have to have things spelled out for me over and over? Yet my Heavenly Father waits patiently for me to ask, and then He does spell it out for me...again! And He loves me all the same, because I'm still learning to become like Him.
